Are You Positioned to Make Money Online?
Although the economy seems to be improving you may still be looking for an additional source of income to create a comfy financial cushion. With the growth of business opportunities on the internet it may be the one place that you will look. If you are looking for the best ways to make money online, but you are feeling a little hesitant with new your venture, what you really need to know is its all about positioning.
There are so many options out there and its hard to know which ones are legitimate and which ones aren’t.
In this article, I will help you position yourself to go through the Internet marketing maze and hopefully bring some clarity as to what to do first, because it begins with you.
Making the transition from employee to entrepreneur can be a tough one. I’ve been there, but when you do its very liberating. The one thing that I found that took a little adjusting was my mindset. After being an employee for someone else for so long, it was different for me to realize that I was my own boss.
I took the opportunity to read inspiring and motivating books from authors like Napoleon Hill (Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude) and Jack Canfield (Success Principles).
Once you have settled in yourself that an Internet marketing is a home based business that you’d like to pursue then my key advice would be to start before you’re ready. You will be surprised at how much starts to fall into place. I found that through trial and error I learned a lot of value lessons that I can now pass on to newbie Internet marketers so they don’t make the same mistakes.
The fact is, we all have the ability to achieve anything that we decide to do. Think of yourself as the expert that you already are and then educate yourself as you claim your status. In the Internet business industry if you want to really grow your business, it is important to expand your skills; which will allow you to provide value to others.
If you feel that you are on your way to positioning yourself in the online business industry than the next step is to know how to find the right Internet marketing business.
This is my first time here at your blog Althea. I like what I am reading so far. Mindset is such an important part of successful online marketer. I love Napoleon Hill and Jack Canfield’s books. Great article
I completely agree that the transition from employee to entrepreneur all begins with you and focusing on your mindset. There is a huge learning curve so you will need the belief inside you to build your business. Great outline!
Mindset is the first thing that needs to be conquered when starting your own home business. So many new entrepreneurs quit or fail because they did not get that part right.
Thanks, Althea!

Like Stephane, this is my first time visiting your blog and I really enjoyed this post. Simple and too the point, but packed with truth. I also agree with the idea that it is okay to start before you think you are totally ready. Many of us spend too much time trying to be perfect that we miss our chance to do something great.
When Bill Gates and Paul Allen started Microsoft, they didn’t have a perfected operating system designed yet. They just had a vision and a skill set that they were refining as they went.
Same with Henry Ford. He failed many times in is attempts to create a self-propelled vehicle, and had two businesses fail before he founded Ford Motor Company.
Thank goodness all of them didn’t wait to start their journeys. I wonder what our world would be like if they had waited!
Thanks for the great post!

Hey Althea,
I think you are right on, and I’m a big motivator when it comes to helping people get there mindset in order. Before I let anybody work with me, they have to show me they are willing to do that.
Great Post,
It’s so important to expand your skill set and to continue learning every step of the way. It amazes me how many people want to be successful but never put in the time to learn how to do it.
I heard a statistic lately that about %95 of Americans will read not even one non fiction book in a year. How do people expect to find success if they can’t pick up a book and learn something new.
So thanks for the great post Althea, and for leading by example.
