Top 3 Internet Marketing Ideas & Resources

Posted by Althea Martin on September 23, 2009

Internet marketing has become the mainstream way to market a business. The benefit to this, is that it allows you to reach prospects worldwide. The downside, is that one can tend to get lazy and almost unprofessional with the way they conduct their business, by not being personable. For all of us, the end goal is to have the potential prospects enter our sales funnel, however, if we want quality prospects, we have to give value in our content.
When promoting your business with internet marketing, the true goal is to create trust and establish yourself as a leader in your industry . Build a relationship, which will create a strong foundation. People still want to do business with real people. Take the time to get to know what your clients are about. There is a possibility that you might learn, that they are not the right fit for your business.

Here are a few tips for internet marketing:

1. Brand yourself, not your company. Using your personal name lets people know that you are indeed a real person.

2. If you are attaching a link; make it to your social networking site or blog. It will give your prospect an opportunity to get to know who you are.

3. Personally reply – even if its brief- to messages or comments. That will tell the person that you believe they have something of value to say.

By utilizing these tips, you will give yourself more credibility; which in turn will make your potential prospects see you as a professional that they would want to do business with.
When you operate at a level of integrity in your internet marketing; you will truly reap the rewards, receive quality leads and take your business to the next level.

There Really is No Time Like the Present

Posted by Althea Martin on September 21, 2009

In my opinion, in today’s society as much as we can have almost anything instantaneously we still tend me a generation of procrastinators.  Some of us, its on the smaller scale; putting away laundry, making that phone call or getting together with friends. For others, its making a relationship or career shift, buying a house or having children. I am writing this entry because I am going to share something that I have learned recently. I am reading ” Success through a Positive Mental Attitude” by Napoleon Hill. It is a great read and it is the kind of book you’ll have to underline sentences that you can locate quickly when you’ve finished reading it.

The lesson I learned is to stop putting things off. Get into action immediately. When a thought comes to mind to do something just do it in that moment. Don’t give yourself excuses, not too. The fact is, we can never know if we are creating a greater opportunity for others or for ourselves. You can decide to finally make that phone call and you were the exact person that your friend needed to talk to. You can put the laundry away and the friends that you have been planning to get together with, decide to stop by spontaneously. You can finally decide to take the next step in your relationship, whether that be moving on or committing; that could open opportunities that you never even thought existed.

My point is this, there really is no time like the present. Some day, doesn’t exist because it never arrives, but today does. So, whatever you have been putting off, now is the time to get done.

Continue to be inspired. Live life on purpose with a purpose!
